100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training & Immersion

Himalaya Yoga is a traditional yoga school rooted in the sacred foothills of Rishikesh, India. Our 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training & immersion is a flexible option for practitioners who wish to deepen their practice in an authentic environment, earn Yoga Alliance continuing education hours or complete the first part of a full 200-hour teacher training journey.

You can join the 100-hour module as a stand-alone immersion or combine it with a second 100-hour or 200-hour module (with our RYS 200) to complete a full 200 Hour YTTC. It is also suitable as Yoga Alliance continuing education (CE hours) for already certified teachers.

Trainings are offered in our Himalayan ashram in Rishikesh & Goa, at carefully selected retreat venues in Spain & Italy, and in online formats for those who cannot travel. Every location follows the same core curriculum and Himalayan lineage, adapting the rhythm to the local environment.

Whether you come to deepen your personal practice, taste ashram life, or begin a longer teacher training journey, this 100-hour course gives you a grounded foundation in asana, pranayama, meditation and philosophy in a supportive, small-group setting.

Program Overview

1. Certification

On successful completion you receive a 100-Hour Yoga Training Certificate from Himalaya Yoga. This certificate confirms 100 hours of structured study and practice in a Yoga Alliance–registered school. On its own, it does not grant RYT registration, but:

  • It can be combined with other modules to complete a full 200-hour YTTC with our RYS 200.
  • If you are already an RYT, these hours can usually be logged as continuing education (CE) with Yoga Alliance.

2. Your 100-Hour Journey – Intensive & Accessible

The 100-hour curriculum condenses the most essential aspects of our 200-hour foundation into a shorter format. You gain a clear structure for your personal practice and an understanding of how yoga can support your daily life.

Depending on your experience, you may use this course to deepen your foundation, to reconnect with yoga after a break, or as preparation for a full 200-hour training.

What Our Students Say

Yoga Immersion | India | 2019

Rishikesh, India

I joined the 100-hour immersion in Rishikesh to reconnect with my practice. The short format fit my holiday time but still gave me a deep experience of ashram life. We practiced twice a day, studied philosophy and had beautiful satsangs by the Ganga. I left feeling clearer, lighter and inspired to continue with the full 200-hour training...

Yoga Immersion | India | 2018

Rishikesh, India

A powerful and intimate immersion into yoga. The smaller group meant we had a lot of personal attention, and I felt safe to explore my physical and emotional edges. I would recommend this 100-hour training to anyone wanting a deep but time-friendly experience.

Frequently Asked Questions – 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training

What is a 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training & immersion?

A 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training & immersion is a short, intensive program that introduces you to the core elements of yoga: asana, pranayama, meditation, philosophy and yogic lifestyle. It is ideal as a personal retreat, as continuing education for yoga teachers, or as the first step toward a full 200-hour teacher training.

Can I register with Yoga Alliance after a 100 Hour training?

No. Yoga Alliance registration as an RYT 200 requires the completion of a full 200-hour program with a Registered Yoga School (RYS 200). However, you can combine our 100-hour immersion with additional modules at Himalaya Yoga to complete 200 hours, or, if you are already registered, you can usually count these hours as continuing education (CE).

Who is the 100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training for?

This course is suitable for dedicated practitioners who want to deepen their practice in a short time frame, for people who cannot yet commit to a full 200-hour course, and for yoga teachers who want to refresh and expand their knowledge with authentic Himalayan teachings.

Will I be able to teach after the 100 Hour YTTC?

The 100-hour immersion introduces you to teaching methodology and may give you enough confidence to share simple practices informally. However, if your goal is to teach professionally or register as an RYT 200, we recommend completing a full 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training.

Can I combine this 100 Hour training with another course?

Yes. Many students choose to combine the 100-hour immersion with another 100-hour or 200-hour module. When you complete a total of 200 hours with our RYS 200 program, you can apply to register as an RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance. We are happy to advise you on suitable next steps.

In which locations do you offer the 100 Hour YTTC?

We currently offer 100-hour immersions in Rishikesh and Goa (India), as well as at selected retreat centers in Spain and Italy, and also in online formats. All trainings follow the same Himalayan lineage and core curriculum, adapted to each venue and group.
