General Policies

Below you will find our payment, cancellation, refund, and service delivery policies for retreats, trainings, and other programs organised by Himalaya Yoga.

1. Payment Policy

Deposits and Fees
To secure your place in a retreat or yoga teacher training, a non-refundable deposit may be required at the time of booking. The remaining balance must be paid by the date specified in your confirmation email or on the booking page.

Accepted Payment Methods
We accept online payments via our secure payment gateway (such as Razorpay), which may include credit/debit cards, net banking, UPI, and other methods available for your region. All charges are shown in the currency indicated on the booking page, and your bank may apply its own exchange rate and fees for international transactions.

Taxes and Charges
Program fees may be subject to applicable taxes as per Indian law. Any bank or transfer charges are your responsibility.

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Programs in India (Retreats, Trainings, Courses)

  • Booking deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances.
  • If you cancel 30 days or more before the program start date, you may request to transfer your booking (one time) to another available program within 12 months, subject to availability and any price difference.
  • If you cancel less than 30 days before the start date, or fail to arrive, no refund or transfer is available.
  • No refunds are given once a program has started or for unused services (such as missed classes, late arrival, or early departure).

Online Classes and Digital Services
For online classes, recorded courses, or digital materials, payments are generally non-refundable once access has been granted. If you experience technical issues or have been charged in error (for example, a duplicate transaction), please contact us within 24 hours at info@himalayayoga.de and we will review your case.

Cancellations by Himalaya Yoga
In rare cases, we may need to cancel or reschedule a program due to circumstances beyond our control (such as natural disasters, government restrictions, or insufficient enrolments). If this happens, you will be offered either:

  • a transfer of your booking to another date or program, or
  • a full refund of fees paid to us (excluding any bank or transfer fees already incurred).

3. Changes to Bookings

Requests to change program dates or room types are subject to availability and our discretion. Additional charges may apply if the new booking has a higher price or falls in a different season.

4. Service Delivery & Shipping Policy

Retreats and Trainings
Our primary services are delivered in person at our yoga school or retreat locations. Accommodation, meals, and yoga sessions are provided as described on the program page and in your booking confirmation.

Digital / Online Services
For online classes and courses, access links and login details are delivered by email to the address you provide at the time of booking. Please ensure your email address is correct. If you do not receive an email within 24 hours after payment, please contact us.

No Physical Shipping
We do not generally ship physical products. If a specific program includes printed materials or other items, details will be clearly mentioned on the course page.

5. Health, Insurance & Responsibility

Yoga practice involves physical movement. By joining any program you confirm that:

  • you are physically and mentally fit to participate in yoga activities;
  • you have consulted a doctor if you have any medical concerns;
  • you understand that participation is at your own risk.

We strongly recommend that all participants travelling to India obtain adequate travel and health insurance to cover medical care, trip interruption, and personal belongings.
